Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom Across Ontario – Top Spots to Visit

Spring has officially arrived, and Ontario’s famous cherry blossoms are now reaching their peak bloom, offering nature lovers breathtaking sights across the province—far beyond just Toronto’s High Park.

While High Park remains the most famous destination, cherry blossom fans can explore several other hotspots where Sakura trees are blooming at their finest. According to the Royal Botanical Gardens’ (RBG) Flowering Cherry Bloom Watch, the recent warm spell has pushed many trees into full bloom, although the delicate petals remain sensitive to wind and rain—so the time to go is now.

Cherry blossoms generally reach peak bloom in late April through mid-May, depending on location and weather conditions. RBG horticulture director Jon Peter notes that 2025’s bloom is later than last year, when flowers peaked on April 18. This year, cooler weather delayed the start, with blossoms now unfolding across multiple regions.
