Windsor police are investigating a high-value liquor theft after a semi-truck loaded with Crown Royal whisky was stolen from a secured facility earlier this month.
According to a news release, the incident occurred overnight on May 17 at a fenced-in yard in the 3300 block of Devon Drive. Suspects allegedly broke in and drove off with a semi-tractor trailer containing more than 1,000 boxes of Crown Royal whisky, with an estimated value of $100,000.
The trailer was later found abandoned on May 18 in the 4000 block of County Road 46—but the whisky was long gone.
Police Seeking Public’s Help
Authorities are urging nearby residents and businesses to check their security camera footage from the night of the theft for any suspicious activity.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Windsor Police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
The investigation is ongoing.
