Navjot Singh Sidhu is returning to the comedy stage that made him a household name, reuniting with Kapil Sharma for Season 3 of The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix. The announcement was made on June 9 through the streaming platform’s official Instagram page, much to the delight of longtime fans.
“Ek kursi paaji ke liye please,” read the playful caption, confirming that both Sidhu and Archana Puran Singh will be part of the show, premiering June 21 at 8 PM.
Sidhu, who was previously a staple on Kapil Sharma’s earlier shows including Comedy Nights with Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show, was replaced in 2019 by Archana Puran Singh due to political commitments. His return is being described as a heartfelt homecoming. “Coming to The Great Indian Kapil Show feels like I’m coming home again. It’s a home run for me,” Sidhu said in a statement. “We heard the voice of the people… I’m delighted Netflix has brought this bouquet of beautiful people together.”
True to his poetic style, Sidhu added, “Guru, humne milkar yeh aashiyana sajaya hai, Guzra zamana phir se lautke aaya hai! Main yu hi nahi pohuncha hoon yahaan par dobara, Mujhe kheench kar janta ka pyaar laaya hai!”
Kapil Sharma also shared his excitement about Sidhu’s return, saying, “We promised that our family would grow every ‘Funnyvaar’ and I’m so excited to have Sidhu paaji back with Archana ji to enjoy all the chutkules, the shayaris and the masti. The mahaul is set—this season, jokes and laughter have tripled!”
Season three of The Great Indian Kapil Show will also feature the return of fan-favorite comedians including Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, and Kiku Sharda, promising a full house of hilarity and high-energy entertainment.
