Maninder Sidhu Kicks Off Brampton East Re-Election Campaign with Massive Community Support
In a powerful show of momentum heading into the federal election, Member of Parliament Maninder Sidhu launched his re-election campaign for Brampton East with the grand opening of his campaign office. The event drew over 500 enthusiastic supporters, including all Brampton Liberal MPs, prominent community leaders, representatives of seniors and social organizations, and local media personalities.
The celebration marked the beginning of an energized campaign rooted in Liberal values of progress, unity, and service. In his opening address, MP Sidhu reflected on the transformative change Brampton East has experienced under Liberal leadership — from investments in affordable housing and infrastructure to support for job creation and immigration reform.

“Brampton East is not just growing — it’s thriving. And that’s thanks to strong federal partnerships and real action, not empty promises,” said Sidhu. “We’re building on the foundation set by Mark Carney’s bold policies for economic stability, green growth, and global engagement. Unlike the Conservative Party, whose leaders continue to mislead Canadians and offer no plan beyond tax cuts for the wealthy, we are focused on investing in people, in families, and in the future.”
Sidhu also took a moment to call out the harmful impact of Trump-era tariffs, noting the importance of defending Canadian industries through strong and principled diplomacy — a clear contrast, he said, to the isolationist rhetoric of the Conservative opposition.
The event was attended by all four fellow Brampton Liberal MPs, who voiced strong support:
Shafqat Ali, MP for Brampton Centre, shared:
“Maninder has never wavered when it comes to standing up for Brampton. He’s passionate, results-driven, and deeply rooted in the community. We are proud to stand with him as a team.”
Kamal Khera, Minister and MP for Brampton West, added:
“Whether it’s healthcare, seniors, or youth empowerment, Maninder is always at the table — bringing Brampton’s voice to Ottawa and delivering real results. This campaign reflects that commitment.”
Ruby Sahota, MP for Brampton North, said:
“This is what grassroots energy looks like. Maninder has the trust of the community because he listens, he acts, and he delivers.”
Sonia Sidhu, MP for Brampton South, noted:
“We’ve made so much progress for Brampton together. Maninder’s leadership has been vital in pushing for better infrastructure, better services, and a brighter future.”
The campaign office launch also featured remarks from Amandeep Sodhi, the newly acclaimed Liberal candidate for Brampton Centre, who stated:
“Maninder’s tireless work inspires us all. As a candidate, it’s uplifting to witness this level of community engagement and commitment to a shared Liberal vision.”
Key community leaders were present and shared words of encouragement:
Balwinder Bains, respected Brampton entrepreneur, said:
“We need leaders like Maninder who don’t just talk but act — whether it’s supporting small businesses or helping families settle and succeed.”
Paramjit Johal, long-time advocate and educator, added:
“Maninder has always made time for the community — from seniors to students. He’s accessible, dependable, and solutions-focused.”
Gian Paul, Chairperson of the Flower City Friends Club, remarked:
“Our seniors have directly benefited from his advocacy. From health seminars to community grants, Maninder has brought programs that uplift our elders with dignity.”
The launch event was covered by several local media outlets and community newspapers, highlighting the wide interest and growing momentum in Brampton East.
The event concluded with a heartfelt message of gratitude from Maninder Sidhu:
“I am overwhelmed and humbled by this incredible show of support. Together, we are stronger. Together, we will keep moving Brampton forward.”
With energy high and the community behind him, Maninder Sidhu’s campaign in Brampton East is off to a dynamic and united start.
