From Gidha to Good Health: PSB Seniors Celebrate with Culture and Care

The PSB Seniors Club Association proudly celebrated Family Day and Valentine’s Day on February 21, 2026, at Paul Pallecchi Recreation Center, Brampton, with the enthusiastic participation of over 100 members. The hall was filled with warmth, laughter, and vibrant energy as seniors gathered to celebrate love, family values, and togetherness.

The program commenced with opening remarks by Gian Paul, Vice President, PSB Seniors Club Association, who warmly welcomed all members and highlighted the importance of Family Day and Valentine’s Day. He shared that both occasions remind us to cherish our families, strengthen friendships, and spread love and positivity in the community. He appreciated the members for their continued participation and unity.

GS Khakh, Chairman, extended his gratitude to all attendees and volunteers for making the event successful. Mr. S.S. Bedi, Director, took on the responsibility of Stage Secretary and conducted the program in a professional and engaging manner. During his address, he briefly explained the history and significance of Valentine’s Day, stating, “Valentine’s Day is not only about romantic love but about expressing care, kindness, and appreciation for everyone who brings joy into our lives.”

The cultural segment featured songs, encouraging speeches, lighthearted jokes, and energetic performances of Gidha and Bhangra, which kept the audience entertained. The Marwah Family Team presented lively and heartwarming performances that added extra joy to the celebration, receiving loud applause from the members.

A major highlight of the event was the informative seminar on “Causes, Cure, and Management of Diabetes” by Neha Kaushal, Pharmacist and Diabetes Educator. In her address, she emphasized, “Diabetes can be managed effectively with awareness, balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, and proper medication adherence.” She encouraged seniors to adopt healthier lifestyles and undergo regular checkups. The interactive question-and-answer session allowed members to clarify their concerns and gain practical health advice.

Members also enjoyed delicious food and refreshments while networking and sharing cherished memories. The celebration beautifully blended entertainment with meaningful health education.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Harcharan Singh, President, who appreciated the organizing team, volunteers, and participants for their cooperation and enthusiasm. He reaffirmed the club’s ongoing commitment to promoting social connection, cultural engagement, and health awareness among seniors.

The day truly reflected the spirit of love, unity, and community service that defines the PSB Seniors Club Association.
