Canada-Wide Arrest Warrant Issued for Truck Driver Navjeet Singh After Fatal Manitoba Collision

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for Navjeet Singh, a 25-year-old truck driver from Brampton, Ontario, in connection with a fatal collision that occurred near Altona, Manitoba. The crash, which took place last Friday, claimed the lives of a 35-year-old mother and her eight-year-old daughter.

The tragic incident happened approximately 13 kilometers west of Altona when a semi-truck, allegedly driven by Singh, failed to stop at an intersection and collided with an SUV. The victims were pronounced dead at the scene, leaving a community in mourning.

Following the crash, Singh was hospitalized for injuries but later released. He now faces two charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and one charge of obstructing a peace officer. The charges remain allegations and have yet to be proven in court.

Efforts to locate Singh have been ongoing but unsuccessful. The RCMP reported that officers searched for Singh in Winnipeg but have been unable to determine his whereabouts, prompting the issuance of the nationwide warrant.

“Officers have attempted to locate Mr. Singh in Winnipeg without success, and as a result, a Canada-wide warrant of arrest has been issued,” the RCMP said in an official statement.
