Brampton Opens Registration for 2026 Winter Programs and March Break Camps on December 8

Brampton residents can gear up for a vibrant and activity-packed season as the City opens registration for its 2026 winter recreation programs and March Break camps starting December 8. From fitness and aquatics to arts, sports and inclusive programming, the City’s lineup offers something for every age and interest, backed by Brampton Recreation’s HIGH FIVE® accreditation for quality and safety.

Residents can begin browsing all Winter 2026 programs on November 24 at 6 a.m. Registration for most programs — including March Break Camps and the winter session of the Brampton Sports League — opens for residents on December 8 at 6 a.m., followed by Learn to Swim and Learn to Skate registration on December 15. Non-residents can register for most programs beginning December 29, and for swim and skate lessons on January 4.

A major highlight this year is the March Break Brampton Steelheads Camp, running March 16–20, 2026. Campers will enjoy a special trip to the CAA Centre on March 17 to cheer on the Steelheads in person, meet the team mascot, enjoy themed activities, and take home a commemorative t-shirt. Camps include engineering, sports, arts and crafts, clayworks, gymnastics, inclusive programs, EMS Trippers, and more — offering exciting options for children and youth aged four and up.

The Brampton Sports League returns with pickleball, badminton, basketball, indoor cricket and more. Registration for the Winter 2026 season opens December 8, giving residents a chance to stay active and connect with the community throughout the colder months.

Seniors will also benefit from the expanded free 65+ Annual Recreation Membership, allowing eligible Brampton residents aged 65 and older to access a wide range of services and programs at no cost. Verification for the membership can be completed at any recreation centre.

The City continues its strong focus on inclusion with expanded Adults Developing and Participating Together (A.D.A.P.T.) programming for adults 21+, now offered five days a week. Participants can enjoy fitness, crafts, social activities, swimming, games, music and more in a supportive and accessible setting. Additional inclusive programs — including sensory-friendly and small-group options — are available through the City’s inclusion services.

To make registration smoother, residents are encouraged to log in early, check account details, prepare a program shortlist and add credit card information ahead of time. Only verified Brampton residents receive early access and resident rates, so account verification is essential. On registration day, a virtual waiting room will help ensure a fair and streamlined process. Brampton’s new Recreation Registration mobile app also offers quick browsing and easy payments directly from a smartphone.

Financial support remains available through the City’s ActiveAssist program, which provides eligible low-income residents with a $275 credit toward recreation programs for a two-year period. Sponsored by 407 ETR and Capital Power, the initiative helps ensure recreation is accessible to all.

With a wide mix of programs, camps, sports leagues and inclusive opportunities, Brampton’s Winter 2026 season promises a fun, active and enriching experience for families across the city. Residents can explore all available options at brampton.ca/registerforprograms.
