Brampton Home Prices Edge Up to $886,865 as Listings Drop 22%

BRAMPTON — Brampton’s housing market showed modest improvement in August, with the average home selling for $886,865, according to Toronto Regional Real Estate Board data.

The average price increased just 0.1 per cent from July, but remained 4.1 per cent lower than August 2025.

A total of 440 homes were sold, up 3.8 per cent from a year earlier. Meanwhile, active listings fell sharply by 22 per cent to 1,904, suggesting the supply of homes available for sale has tightened. Homes took an average of 35 days to sell.

Detached homes averaged $1.02 million, up 0.8 per cent from July but down 5.3 per cent year-over-year.

Semi-detached homes averaged $774,246, while attached homes averaged $731,389. Townhouse-style condos sold for an average $569,104, and apartment-style condos averaged $434,457.

Despite recent price declines, Brampton homeowners have experienced substantial long-term appreciation. Compared with August 2016, the average price of homes and condos in the city has increased 47.6 per cent.

The latest figures indicate a market where sales activity is improving and inventory is declining, although average prices remain below last year’s levels.
