High-Profile Support and Volunteer Surge Amplify Momentum Ahead of Federal Election
Amandeep Sodhi, the Liberal Party candidate for Member of Parliament in Brampton Centre, received a significant boost to her campaign as Canada’s Minister of Health, Kamal Khera,Shafqat Ali and Iqra Khalid joined her in door-to-door canvassing efforts. This collaboration underscores the Liberal Party’s commitment to grassroots engagement and community outreach.
“It was a pleasure to have @kamalkheralib join me at the doors in #BramptonCentre,” Sodhi shared on her Instagram account, highlighting the event’s success.
The campaign’s momentum was further amplified by the participation of over 100 volunteers who organized into small groups to engage with residents, distribute lawn signs, and discuss the Liberal Party’s vision for the future.
Former MPs Iqra Khalid (Mississauga—Erin Mills) and Shafqat Ali (Brampton Centre) also lent their support by joining the door-knocking initiative.

Amandeep Sodhi, a 23-year-old second-generation Canadian, graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Certificate in Law and Public Policy. Currently working as a legal assistant at a family law firm, she brings a deep understanding of the issues that matter most to Canadians. Her platform focuses on affordable housing, universal healthcare, gender equality, and climate action.
