Air Canada Doubles Daily Luxury Bus Trips Between Toronto Pearson and Waterloo to Meet Soaring Demand

Air Canada is ramping up its ground-to-air connectivity by doubling the number of daily luxury bus trips between Toronto Pearson International Airport and the fast-growing Waterloo Region, starting December 1. The move comes as demand for convenient travel options between the two hubs continues to rise.

The airline announced that The Landline Company’s luxury coach service — launched early last year — will increase from five to ten daily return trips between Waterloo Region International Airport and Pearson Airport in Mississauga. The expanded schedule aims to give passengers more flexibility and better connection times with flights from Air Canada’s global hub.

“We have been very satisfied with the response from the Kitchener-Waterloo Region to Air Canada’s innovative, multi-modal service,” said Ranbir Singh, Air Canada’s Director of Regional Airlines and Markets. “With the service growing in popularity, we are doubling the frequencies to 10 daily, which will give customers even better, one-stop connectivity between Waterloo and key destinations we serve from Toronto Pearson such as Vancouver, Tokyo, Halifax, San Francisco and hundreds more.”

U.S.-based Landline, which operates the luxury coaches in partnership with Air Canada, has also seen growing demand since the service launched in early 2024. Spokesperson Rizwan Qadir noted that hundreds of customers have praised the experience but wanted more flexible schedules to match their connecting flights. “By doubling frequency to 10 trips per day, travellers can now mix and match schedules to fit their outbound and return Air Canada flights more conveniently,” he said.

Karen Redman, Chair of the Region of Waterloo, welcomed the increased service as a sign of confidence in the region’s future. She said the investment “strengthens Waterloo Region’s global reach and opens new doors for our residents, businesses and visitors alike.”

The upgraded service reflects Air Canada’s strategy of combining air and ground transportation to make regional travel more seamless — connecting smaller airports with its international gateway at Pearson.
