Brampton’s iconic Rose Theatre is celebrating two decades of artistic excellence, community engagement, and cultural achievement with the launch of its 2026–2027 season, a milestone that reflects the venue’s remarkable contribution to the city’s vibrant arts landscape since opening its doors in 2006.
Built on the anniversary theme, Roots. Blossom. Bloom., the new season honours the theatre’s rich history while embracing the future of arts and entertainment in one of Canada’s fastest-growing and most diverse cities. Over the past twenty years, The Rose has evolved into one of Brampton’s premier cultural destinations, hosting internationally acclaimed performers, supporting local artists, and creating unforgettable experiences for audiences of all ages.
To commemorate this significant anniversary, The Rose will host 20 Years in Bloom, a free community celebration on September 19, 2026. The day-long event will feature live entertainment, backstage tours, interactive family activities, artisan displays, and appearances by special guests. The celebration will pay tribute to the artists, volunteers, donors, sponsors, staff, community partners, and audiences whose dedication and support have helped shape the theatre’s success over the past two decades.
The anniversary season presents an impressive lineup of internationally recognized performers alongside emerging Canadian talent and Brampton-based artists. Audiences can look forward to performances by Jeremy Jordan, Natalie MacMaster and Mary Frances, Susan Aglukark, Gowan, and Pavlo, highlighting a diverse mix of music, storytelling, and live entertainment that reflects the city’s multicultural character.
The season will also celebrate the strong partnerships that have become an integral part of The Rose’s continued growth. Signature events such as the 10th anniversary of the World of Jazz Festival and the return of Flow Fest will be featured alongside performances and productions created in collaboration with organizations including The Rose Orchestra, Brampton Concert Band, Brampton Music Theatre, The Hive Performing Arts, Zamar Music Inc., and This Is Brampton. These collaborations continue to showcase the creativity and artistic talent flourishing throughout the community.
Families will enjoy a wide range of performances and interactive experiences, including Splash’N Boots, 360 ALLSTARS, Meet the Hatter, March Break programming, and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra’s Symphonic Singalong. Audiences seeking unique theatrical experiences can also explore immersive productions such as Don’t Touch the Art, Cosmic Odyssey, and Solstice: A Winter Circus Experience, offering innovative and engaging entertainment throughout the season.
Public ticket sales begin on June 26, while Encore Members receive early access beginning June 25. The membership program also offers exclusive benefits, including special promotions, reward points toward complimentary tickets, and priority access to selected performances.
The Rose Theatre remains the centrepiece of Brampton’s performing arts network, which also includes Lester B. Pearson Theatre, Cyril Clark Library Theatre, and Garden Square. Together, these City-operated venues present a year-round calendar of music, theatre, dance, comedy, festivals, and cultural programming that continues to enrich the lives of residents and attract visitors from across the Greater Toronto Area.
As The Rose celebrates its 20th anniversary, the 2026–2027 season stands as both a tribute to its remarkable legacy and a bold vision for the future. With world-class performances, community celebrations, family entertainment, and meaningful artistic collaborations, the theatre continues to strengthen Brampton’s reputation as one of Canada’s leading centres for arts, culture, and live performance.
