Ruby Sahota, Member of Parliament for Brampton North and Minister of Democratic Institutions, visited two notable community organizations in Brampton: Hope Endoors and The CHANCE Centre. During her visit, she engaged with youth and young adults, participating in activities such as making her signature hot chocolate, playing games, and engaging in meaningful discussions. She expressed her admiration for the impactful work these organizations are doing in the community.
“It was truly inspiring to witness firsthand the dedication of Hope Endoors and The CHANCE Centre in creating a more inclusive and supportive space for neurodiverse individuals,” said MP Sahota. “These organizations are not just teaching life skills; they are building confidence, fostering independence, and strengthening our community in incredible ways.”
Hope Endoors: Supporting Neurodiverse Individuals
Hope Endoors Community Services Inc. is a family-owned and operated organization dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Founded by Jermaine and Marlene Spence, who collectively have over 40 years of experience in the field, the organization’s mission is to help neurodiverse families feel happy, hopeful, confident, and connected. Their vision is to provide a space that fosters independent living, social skills development, and meaningful community connections.
The organization offers a structured day program focusing on enhancing functional life skills, physical activity, and community participation. Participants engage in various activities, including baking, cooking, social skills development, exercise, and volunteering. These programs are designed to improve communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and other essential skills, preparing participants for employment or self-employment opportunities.

“The passion and care that the team at Hope Endoors puts into their work are truly commendable,” added MP Sahota. “Seeing young individuals gain independence and find purpose through these programs is a testament to the impact of community-driven initiatives.”
The CHANCE Centre is committed to empowering neurodiverse individuals and underserved communities by teaching essential life skills, promoting employment readiness, and fostering social inclusion. The organization offers job readiness and family empowerment programs, helping individuals and families overcome barriers to success. Their initiatives aim to build confidence, independence, and meaningful connections within the community.
During Learning Disabilities Awareness Month, The CHANCE Centre launched the “I CAN” apparel line to promote awareness and support for individuals with learning disabilities. The apparel is available for purchase, with proceeds supporting the organization’s programs and initiatives.
