Free Movies, Gaming, and $3 Treats: Cineplex Opens Doors for Community Day Across Ontario

Cineplex is bringing back its much-loved Community Day on Saturday, November 15, giving Ontarians the chance to enjoy free movies and gaming for one morning only at select Cineplex, The Rec Room, and Playdium locations. The event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., is part of Cineplex’s ongoing support for Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada, helping youth in more than 600 communities nationwide.

Guests can enjoy free screenings of family favourites from Universal Pictures, including Minions: Rise of Gru, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, Sing 2, and The Wild Robot. Tickets will be available in person only, on a first-come, first-served basis between 9 and 11 a.m.

Adding to the fun, concession items like popcorn, drinks, fries, and mini donuts will be available for just $3 each, and gamers can enjoy free non-redemption playcards or game bands at XSCAPE, The Rec Room, and Playdium locations.

“Community Day is one of my favourite times of the year,” said Ellis Jacob, Cineplex president and CEO. “It’s a day when communities come together for entertainment and to give back.”

To keep the spirit of giving alive, $1 from every food, beverage, or gaming purchase made throughout the day will be donated to Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada.
