Three Punjabi Men Killed in Tragic Brampton Accident

Three young men from India lost their lives in a devastating accident in Brampton, Ontario, in the early hours of Thursday. Reetik Chhabra, 23, his younger brother Rohan, 22, and their friend Gaurav Fasge, 24, were identified as the victims of the tragic incident.

The accident occurred around 1:30 am, and Peel Regional Police responded to the scene where the three young adults were pronounced dead. Initial reports suggest that high speed and possible contact with another vehicle contributed to the collision. The driver of the second vehicle is currently in custody awaiting charges related to the crash.

The Chhabra brothers and Fasge, recent graduates from Seneca College, shared a basement apartment in Brampton and worked together at Savarg Beauty Salon. Tirath Gill, the salon’s owner, expressed deep sadness, describing the victims as family. The tragedy struck on the eve of Reetik Chabbra’s birthday, as they were out late celebrating.

Hailing from Chandigarh and Pune, the three friends were likely returning home after dinner when their Volkswagen Jetta struck a pole, resulting in the fatal accident. Friends have initiated an online fundraiser to repatriate Fasge’s remains to India and cover funeral expenses for the Chhabra brothers, highlighting the community’s support during this difficult time.
