Brampton Half Marathon Offers $500 Prize to Boost Charity Support and Community Fitness

The Brampton Half Marathon is set to energize the community on May 26, offering participants from all age groups and skill levels the opportunity to compete for cash prizes while supporting local charities. With a top prize of $500 for the longest distance, the event aims to promote health and wellness throughout the region.

Mayor Patrick Brown praised the event as “the best charity fundraiser imaginable,” highlighting its role in fostering a culture of active living and its benefits to health care in the area. The marathon will feature races varying from a 400-metre dash for toddlers to a challenging 20-kilometre run, with separate categories for men and women.

Participants can compete for cash prizes across various distances, with $500 for the 20K, $300 for the 10K, and $200 for the 5K races. The event also supports charities such as Enlight Kids and the Drug Awareness Society of Toronto.

Registration for the competitive races is open, and casual runners can sign up on the day of the event at Terry Fox Track & Field Stadium. For more details, visit www.bramptonmarathon.org.
