Brampton Drug Raid Uncovers Semi-Automatics, Narcotics, and Thousands in Cash

A major police operation in Brampton has resulted in the arrest of five individuals and the seizure of firearms, a variety of narcotics, and approximately $30,000 in cash. On June 1, Peel Regional Police executed a search warrant at a Brampton residence as part of an ongoing investigation into illegal firearms and drug trafficking in the region.

During the search, officers recovered two semi-automatic handguns, a significant quantity of suspected drugs—including fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamines, and heroin—and a large sum of Canadian currency.

The five individuals arrested include 23-year-old Alex Permaul of North York, along with Brampton residents Harvir Bains, 24, Karan Aujla, 27, Nomana Daud, 27, and Jasmeet Harsh, 24. All five are facing two counts each of unauthorized possession of a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession, and possession of a loaded restricted firearm.

In addition, Bains, Aujla, Daud, and Harsh face further charges including six counts of possessing a prohibited device, four charges related to drug trafficking, and additional offences for possession of property obtained through crime.
