Multicultural Golf Celebration Brings Together More Than 200 Golfers, Raises Support for Trillium Health Partners Foundation
MILTON, ONTARIO — The Indo Canadian Golf Association (ICGA) successfully hosted its 26th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Glencairn Golf Club in Milton, bringing together more than 200 golfers, business leaders, sponsors, professionals, community representatives, and supporters from diverse communities across the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.
Among the major highlights of this year’s tournament was the outstanding performance of the runners-up team led by Nazir Chaudhary from Pakistan, whose team demonstrated exceptional skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
The tournament once again demonstrated the power of sport to unite people, build friendships, strengthen business relationships, promote multiculturalism, and support a meaningful charitable cause. The day offered an outstanding combination of championship golf, networking, gourmet food, entertainment, hospitality, and community spirit, reinforcing the tournament’s reputation as one of the most anticipated multicultural golf events in the region.
President Avtar Brar Welcomes Golfers and Guests
The tournament officially opened with welcoming remarks by ICGA President Avtar Brar, who reflected on the Association’s remarkable journey since its establishment in 1997.
Brar thanked the sponsors, volunteers, golfers, community leaders, donors, and organizing committee members whose dedication and support have helped ICGA grow over nearly three decades.
“This tournament has grown into much more than a golf event. It has become a celebration of friendship, community service, and giving back. Every golfer, sponsor, volunteer, and supporter has contributed to the success of ICGA and to improving healthcare in our community,” said Brar.
Golfers enjoyed exceptional hospitality throughout the day, including multiple food and refreshment stations strategically located across the golf course. Freshly prepared cuisine, beverages, entertainment, and networking opportunities complemented an exciting day of competitive golf.

The tournament’s Presenting Partner, Brampton Brick, once again played an important role in the success of the event.

Father and Son Create Lifetime Memories
One of the tournament’s most heartwarming moments was the participation of Gavin Treanor and his son, Aiden Treanor, who played together in the ICGA Charity Golf Tournament for the first time.
Reflecting on their experience, Gavin Treanor said:
“Playing alongside my son Aiden in the Indo Canadian Golf Association Charity Golf Tournament was a truly unforgettable experience. The organization was outstanding, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the event perfectly combined golf, friendship, and community service. A central purpose of the annual tournament is giving back to the community.
This year’s beneficiary was the Trillium Health Partners Foundation. Continuing its longstanding commitment to supporting healthcare, the Indo Canadian Golf Association proudly pledged $50,000 from the proceeds of the tournament to help advance patient care and healthcare services across the region.
The contribution reflects ICGA’s belief that the success of its annual tournament should translate into meaningful and lasting benefits for the broader community.
Champions Crowned — Nazir Chaudhary’s Team Takes Runners-Up Honours
Following an exciting day of competitive golf, the following team was crowned Champion of the ICGA 26th Annual Charity Golf Tournament:

The day’s celebrations concluded with an elegant awards banquet hosted by Master of Ceremonies Amin Dhillon, whose professionalism, energy, and humour kept guests entertained throughout the evening.
