WWE Legend Mick Foley Hospitalized After Car Crash: “No Idea How I’m Still Walking Around”

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley, 59, is recovering in hospital after being involved in a serious car crash that left his vehicle heavily damaged and left the wrestling icon with a minor concussion and widespread soreness.

The wrestling legend, known to fans around the world as Mankind, Cactus Jack, and Dude Love, took to Instagram to share a photo of the aftermath — a mangled vehicle with a shattered windshield, a missing front hood, and a destroyed bumper.

“TOUGH DAY FOR MICK! I have no idea how I am still walking around after this accident,” Foley wrote in his caption. “I’m in the hospital now, and I’m sore from my knees to my neck, including a minor concussion.”

Support and well-wishes poured in from fans and fellow wrestling personalities alike. WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle commented:

“You’ve actually did more damage in the ring than with that car. GOD Bless you Mick.”

Former WWE Superstar Dean “Mojo” Muhtadi added:

“Only you could walk out of a car in that shape and be mostly fine. Prayers up sir. Hope you’re recovering quickly and painlessly.”

WWE ring announcer Alicia Taylor also reacted, posting:

“Omg! Glad you’re ok Mick!!

Foley, who joined WWE in 1996 and officially retired in 2000, was known for his brutal, high-risk matches — most famously his Hell in a Cell showdown with The Undertaker in 1998. He returned to action briefly in the 2012 Royal Rumble and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.

Earlier this year, Foley revealed in a candid YouTube update that he had lost approximately 90 pounds, citing a combination of healthier eating, regular exercise, and the aid of weight loss medication Wegovy.

“I did it the old-fashioned way… healthier eating, working out, and I cheated. I went to a doctor,” he said. “If I need a little help, I should take that. So man, I’m taking it pretty easy. DDPYoga, some swimming.”

Foley added that his previous health struggles left him “a heart attack waiting to happen” and that the weight loss has allowed him to regain mobility and confidence.

As of now, Foley remains under medical supervision but is expected to make a full recovery. His resilience — both inside and outside the ring — continues to inspire wrestling fans around the world.
