Celebrating another chapter in their ongoing partnership, the Toronto Maple Leafs have inked a two-year contract extension with forward Bobby McMann, the team announced today. The deal carries an average annual value of $1.35 million.
At 27 years old, McMann has been a steady presence on the ice, tallying 18 points (10 goals, eight assists) in 40 games during the 2023-24 season with the Maple Leafs. Hailing from Wainwright, Alberta, McMann has also contributed 19 points (10 goals, nine assists) in 50 NHL games and showcased his talent in the AHL with 71 points (49 goals, 22 assists) across 118 games for the Toronto Marlies.
Before making his professional debut, McMann showcased his skills on the collegiate stage, amassing an impressive 92 points (37 goals, 55 assists) over 145 games with Colgate University. His leadership qualities were evident as he captained the team during the 2019-20 season and earned recognition on the NCAA (ECAC) Third All-Star Team in 2018-19.
Standing tall at 6’2″ and weighing in at 210 pounds, McMann originally joined the Maple Leafs organization as a free agent on April 2, 2020. With this contract extension, both player and team look forward to continued success on the ice
