The countdown to the FIFA World Cup 26™ is officially underway! As we mark 500 days until the world’s biggest sporting event kicks off on Canadian soil, the City of Toronto invites media and soccer enthusiasts to a special celebration at Regent Park Community Centre on Tuesday, January 28.
This exciting event will feature Sharon Bollenbach, Executive Director of FIFA World Cup Hosting 2026, alongside a surprise Canada Soccer legend—a former National Team player—who will engage with local youth participants in soccer drills and skills practice.
Each young athlete will also receive a commemorative scarf to mark this historic milestone in Toronto’s journey as a FIFA World Cup 26™ host city.
