Santa’s Mail Is Back on Track: Kids to Get Replies After Brief Delay

Canada Post has reassured families that children who mailed letters to Santa Claus will receive responses this year, despite a brief pause caused by last year’s month-long strike involving more than 55,000 postal workers. The beloved Santa Letters Program, which handles over one million letters annually, is fully underway, with all mail sent to the iconic HOH OHO postal code by Dec. 8 being delivered. While exact reply dates can’t be confirmed, Canada Post spokesperson Phil Legault said every letter will be answered, noting that postal employees take great joy in keeping this cherished holiday tradition alive. The update comes after Canada Post and its mail carriers’ union reached agreements in principle last month, restoring normal operations and ensuring Santa’s messages reach eager young writers across Canada.
