Ruby Sahota Joins Government of Canada and Town of Caledon for Major Housing Announcement

The Government of Canada, in partnership with the Town of Caledon, is set to make a significant housing-related announcement tomorrow, January 30, 2025. The announcement will be made by the Honourable Nathaniel Erskine-Smith, Minister of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities, alongside Ruby Sahota, Minister of Democratic Institutions and MP for Brampton North, and Annette Groves, Mayor of Caledon.

The event will take place at the Southfields Community Centre, located at 225 Dougall Avenue, Caledon, ON, at 11:30 AM ET. Members of the media are invited to attend and cover the announcement, which is expected to address key housing initiatives and developments in the region.

Minister Ruby Sahota shared the details of the event on her official Facebook page, encouraging all media outlets to attend. “I am thrilled to join Minister Erskine-Smith and Mayor Groves in Caledon to announce important steps forward in addressing housing needs in our community,” said Sahota. “This is a critical issue for families in Brampton North and across the country, and I look forward to sharing more details tomorrow.”

The announcement comes at a time when housing affordability and availability remain pressing concerns for many Canadians. The Government of Canada has been actively working on policies and programs to support housing infrastructure and community development, particularly in growing regions like Caledon.
