Police Arrest Two in B.C. After Brampton Man Killed Outside Mississauga Business

Two men from British Columbia have been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a Brampton man in Mississauga nearly three weeks ago. Aman Aman and Digvijay Digvijay, both 21 and residents of Delta, B.C., were arrested last Wednesday in a coordinated effort involving Peel Regional Police, the RCMP, and local law enforcement in B.C.

The charges relate to the May 14 killing of 51-year-old Harjeet Dhadda, who was shot multiple times in broad daylight in a business plaza parking lot near Tranmere Drive and Telford Way, just east of Toronto Pearson Airport. Police say Dhadda was approached and gunned down shortly before noon in what is believed to have been a targeted shooting.

Dhadda later died in hospital from his injuries. The suspects fled the scene in a stolen 2018 black Dodge Challenger, which was recovered by police shortly after the shooting.

Peel police say an intensive investigation led them to Delta, B.C., where the suspects were located and taken into custody. The two men were first brought before a court in Surrey, B.C., before being transferred to Ontario by Peel homicide detectives. They appeared in a Brampton court on Sunday for bail hearings.

Police are continuing their investigation and urge anyone with information—including video footage from the area around the time of the shooting—to come forward. Tips can be submitted directly to police at 905-453-2121, ext. 3205, or anonymously through Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Peel Police Chief Nishan Duraiappah praised the investigators involved, calling the arrests “a testament to the unwavering perseverance and diligence of our homicide investigators.” Authorities are also cautioning the public against spreading speculation online regarding the motive, emphasizing that the case remains active and that all leads will be thoroughly pursued.
