Ontario Government Champions Inclusive Leadership with Leonnova’s Project Confidence Workshop in Brampton

The Ontario government, in collaboration with Leonnova, proudly hosted the “Project Confidence: Professional Leadership Workshop” in Brampton, reaffirming its commitment to empowering newcomers, women, and BIPOC communities through targeted leadership training and workforce readiness programs.

Held at 8 Nelson Street West, the full-day workshop provided participants with essential leadership development, job readiness training, and networking opportunities. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between international experience and Canadian employment standards, offering specialized training in areas such as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), communication, and change management.

“Empowering newcomers, women, and BIPOC communities through leadership training strengthens Ontario’s future,” said Hon. Charmaine Williams, MPP for Brampton Centre and Associate Minister of Women’s Social and Economic Opportunity. “Programs like Project Confidence are vital in building stronger, more inclusive communities across our province.”

Project Confidence, funded by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, offers participants a comprehensive package including a certificate of completion, personalized resume and interview support, and access to a one-month work-integrated project with a Canadian company. This initiative is part of Ontario’s broader strategy to invest in people and foster economic growth through inclusive workforce development.

Leonnova’s Project Confidence continues to make significant strides in supporting underrepresented groups, ensuring they have the tools and opportunities necessary to succeed in Ontario’s dynamic job market.
