One of Canada’s Most Wanted Bail Jumpers Captured in Montreal

Halton Region, ON — A man listed among the most wanted by Halton Regional Police has been captured in Montreal after evading authorities for over a year.

Raffaele-Giulio Draicchio, 26, was arrested by Halton officers on June 4 in Montreal. He was originally arrested in February 2024 in Oakville as part of an investigation into a sophisticated auto theft ring, during which two stolen Toyota 4Runners were recovered.

At the time, Draicchio was charged with three counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000 and possession of tools typically used for car theft. He was released on bail but failed to return for his scheduled court appearance, prompting a warrant for his arrest.

In January 2025, Halton Police intensified efforts by launching a new “Most Wanted” program, where Draicchio was prominently featured as one of two individuals being sought for serious crimes.

“Our goal is to expand our public reach, generate leads, and pursue justice for the victims and the community,” said Halton Police at the time of the program’s launch.

Following his arrest, Draicchio was returned to Halton, where he now faces an additional charge for failing to appear in court. He is currently in custody pending a new bail hearing.
