Kareena Kapoor Requests Privacy After Attack on Saif Ali Khan: ‘Respect Our Boundaries’

Kareena Kapoor has addressed the public and media for the first time following an attack on her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan, during an alleged burglary attempt at their Mumbai residence.

Taking to Instagram, Kareena described the incident as a challenging time for her family and urged everyone to respect their privacy as they navigate this difficult situation.

“It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded,” Kareena wrote.

She appealed for restraint, stating, “As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from relentless speculation and coverage. The constant scrutiny and attention are not only overwhelming but also pose a significant risk to our safety.”

Expressing gratitude for the concern and support, she concluded: “I kindly request that you respect our boundaries and give us the space we need to heal and cope as a family. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation during this sensitive time.”

Kareena’s plea received widespread support from friends and colleagues in the film industry.

  • Actor Arjun Kapoor reposted Kareena’s message, writing, “It is only fair that this is read, heard, and respectfully understood by all of us.”
  • Sonam Kapoor also re-shared the post.
  • Actor Konkona Sensharma added, “Please leave them alone! We don’t need to see them enter and exit the hospital.”

The attack occurred early Thursday morning at Saif and Kareena’s 12th-floor apartment in Bandra, an upscale area in Mumbai.

Police reports indicate that the intruder entered the apartment during an attempted burglary and repeatedly stabbed Saif with a knife.

Saif, 54, was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in an auto-rickshaw by his staff. He sustained six injuries, including two deep wounds, and underwent emergency surgery to remove a knife lodged near his spine.

Hospital Chief Operating Officer Dr. Niraj Uttamani stated that the actor is now stable and out of danger.

Authorities are investigating the incident and have not yet disclosed details about the intruder’s identity or motive.
