Mumbai: Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, concluded months of wedding celebrations by marrying Radhika Merchant, daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant, in a grand reception on Sunday. The festivities, estimated at $819 million CAD, featured a star-studded guest list including former British Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Tony Blair, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, and Bollywood superstars.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the reception, highlighting the Ambani family’s influence. Anant Ambani oversees renewable energy projects at Reliance Industries and runs an animal rescue centre in Gujarat, while Radhika Merchant is the marketing director at Encore Healthcare. The Ambani family’s assets include a $1 billion, 27-storey family compound in Mumbai.
