The Flower City Friends Club (FCFC), a Brampton-based community organization dedicated to improving the well-being and social inclusion of seniors, is once again organizing a heartwarming and lively event for its members. This time, it’s a special Father’s Day Bus Trip to Confederation Park, Hamilton, scheduled for Sunday, June 15, 2025.
As part of its ongoing mission to promote health, happiness, and connectivity among seniors, FCFC has planned this day trip as a joyful escape from routine and a chance for senior fathers and grandfathers to celebrate in a festive, relaxed beachside setting. Two buses filled with excited members will depart from Brampton at 9:00 AM sharp, heading towards the scenic lakefront of Confederation Park in Hamilton.

The Flower City Friends Club is a vibrant seniors’ organization formed with the goal of bringing joy, education, and engagement to the lives of Brampton’s older adults. Over the years, the club has become a strong support network for seniors—particularly those who may face social isolation or limited mobility. With a membership of over 100 and growing, FCFC regularly hosts workshops, wellness seminars, cultural events, and recreational trips to promote “Better Mind, Stronger Body”—a motto embraced by the club.
Led by dedicated volunteers and supported by local leaders, FCFC has built a community where seniors, especially single or isolated individuals, feel a renewed sense of belonging and purpose. The club also partners with health professionals and social workers to deliver sessions on mental health, physical well-being, and age-friendly living.
This Father’s Day trip is designed not only to honor fathers and grandfathers but also to offer a refreshing experience that boosts emotional and physical health.

- Fun & Entertainment: Members will enjoy a day packed with music, games, dance performances, and spontaneous group singing. The beach setting will provide a perfect atmosphere to let loose and have fun.
- Light Snacks & Pizza Lunch: The club will serve light refreshments in the morning, followed by a delicious pizza lunch to keep everyone energized.
- Health Matters for Seniors: Staying true to its core mission, the trip will also include light discussions around senior health and wellness—encouraging members to stay active, engaged, and mentally strong.
- Community Bonding: Most importantly, the trip is about getting seniors out of isolation, allowing them to meet old friends, make new ones, and feel the love and appreciation of the FCFC community.

Club leaders report that members are thrilled and eagerly counting down the days to the beach outing. With the sun, sand, and laughter awaiting them, the Father’s Day trip promises to be one of the most memorable events of the summer for Brampton’s seniors.
