Crown Royal’s Reserve “Aged 12 Years” whiskey is being recalled across several provinces after warnings that bottles may contain pieces of glass.
The recall, issued by Diageo Canada Inc. and posted by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), affects products distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Ontario. The CFIA has classified the action as a Class 2 recall, meaning the product could cause temporary health issues or minor injuries, but is unlikely to result in serious harm.
Consumers, retailers, and food service operators are being advised not to use, sell, serve, or distribute the affected whiskey. The recall applies to bottles with the Universal Product Code 082000809920.
