Brampton Votes 2026: Check Your Mailbox — Your Voter Notice Is Arriving

BRAMPTON — With Brampton’s municipal election approaching, eligible voters are beginning to receive voter notices in the mail. Voting Day is Monday, October 26, with polls open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Residents are being urged to check their voter notice carefully to ensure their information is correct. The notice provides details on when and where to vote. Voters are encouraged to bring it to the polling location along with acceptable identification showing their name and Brampton address. The notice can speed up the voting process but is not mandatory and cannot be used as identification by itself.

Those who do not receive a voter notice may not be on the Voters’ List. Residents can check or update their information online until 5 p.m. on October 17. Even without a voter notice, an eligible resident can still vote by attending a voting location and presenting acceptable identification showing their name and Brampton address.

Advance voting will be held October 9, 10, 11, 16 and 17. Weekday advance polls will operate from noon to 8 p.m., while weekend polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. During advance voting, eligible residents can vote at any advance voting location in Brampton. On October 26, voters can cast their ballot at any voting location within their ward.

More than 425,000 eligible Brampton electors will have the opportunity to choose the city’s Mayor, City Councillors, Regional Councillors and School Board Trustees.
