Brampton Teen Faces Impaired Driving Charges After Being Found Passed Out in Truck

A 19-year-old Brampton man has been charged with impaired driving after OPP officers found him passed out behind the wheel of a parked truck in Wellington County. Police were called to a residence around 10:15 a.m. on Saturday for reports of an unknown vehicle outside.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the driver unconscious in the driver’s seat, with a large bottle of alcohol visible on the hood. The accused was arrested, issued a 90-day licence suspension, and had his vehicle impounded for seven days.

He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on August 22. Police urge anyone who witnesses suspected impaired driving to call 911 when safe, or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
