Brampton Residents Invited to Help Shape Future Recreation Services Through Town Hall

The City of Brampton is encouraging residents to take part in an upcoming telephone town hall that will provide an opportunity to discuss recreation services, programs, facilities, and future community investments across the city.

Scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the town hall will bring together Mayor Patrick Brown, members of City Council, and municipal staff to engage directly with residents about the future of recreation in Brampton.

The session is designed to gather community input on a wide range of recreation-related topics, including sports programs, fitness and wellness initiatives, community centres, parks, youth and senior services, and future recreational infrastructure projects. City officials say the feedback collected will help guide planning and investment decisions aimed at supporting active living, healthy lifestyles, and stronger community connections throughout Brampton.

Residents participating in the event will have the opportunity to ask questions, share their experiences, and provide suggestions regarding recreation services and amenities they use regularly. Interactive live polling will also be conducted during the town hall to gather public opinions on key recreation priorities.

City officials hope the event will encourage meaningful dialogue between residents and municipal leaders while ensuring that future recreation planning reflects the evolving needs of Brampton’s diverse and growing population.

Residents wishing to participate by telephone are required to register in advance through the City’s engagement portal. Registration will remain open until noon on June 17. Participants who register will receive an automated call at the start of the event, allowing them to join the discussion from the comfort of their homes.

An online participation option will also be available for those who prefer to join digitally. Residents can access the virtual session shortly before the event begins.

The City is additionally inviting residents to submit questions ahead of time to increase the likelihood that specific topics and concerns are addressed during the live discussion.

With Brampton continuing to invest in new recreation facilities, community programs, sports amenities, and wellness initiatives, municipal leaders say public input will play an important role in shaping future decisions and ensuring recreation services remain accessible, inclusive, and responsive to community needs.

The telephone town hall represents another opportunity for residents to directly influence decisions affecting recreation and quality of life in one of Canada’s fastest-growing cities.
