A man in his 50s was shot and killed inside a Brampton home on Saturday afternoon, and Peel police now say his son is wanted in connection with the homicide.
Officers were called to a residence on Clearjoy Street around 3:15 p.m. for reports of a disturbance. When they arrived, they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite urgent life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Acting Sgt. Tyler Bell told reporters that investigators believe the suspect is connected to the residence, though it remains unclear whether he lives there permanently or visits occasionally. “We’re looking for you and we’re not going to stop until we get you, and it won’t be long,” Bell warned in a direct message to the suspect.
Police have identified the wanted man as 25-year-old Nicholas Jaglal of Brampton, the victim’s son. He is wanted for second-degree murder and attempted murder.
Jaglal is described as South Asian, five-foot-three, with a thin build, black braided hair, and tattoos on both arms. At the time he was last seen, he was wearing blue Christmas-pattern pyjama pants, a dark jacket layered over a bluish-pink hoodie, and shoes with white soles.
Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who spots him is urged not to approach but to call 911 immediately.
