A Dodge Challenger sale arranged through Facebook Marketplace ended in a violent attack in Brampton, leaving the victim seriously injured and prompting attempted murder charges against two Windsor men.
Peel Regional Police say the incident happened on May 10, when the Brampton car owner agreed to meet two potential buyers. During the test drive, one of the suspects allegedly pulled out a sharp object and stabbed the victim in the throat.
Police say the pair overpowered the man, stole his car, and fled. The victim was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
The following day, police recovered the stolen vehicle in Windsor. Investigators later arrested 22-year-old Simranjeet Singh and 20-year-old Parteek Ehitaan, both from Windsor.
The two men are charged with:
- Attempted murder
- Aggravated assault
- Robbery
Both suspects were held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice.
