Brampton residents are invited to dance, celebrate, and connect at the city’s annual free Community Garba Festival tonight at Chinguacousy Park. The festivities kick off at 7 p.m. and promise a vibrant evening of traditional dance, live music, and authentic Indian cuisine.
Garba, a lively folk dance from India’s Gujarat region, is known for its colourful attire, rhythmic clapping, and infectious energy. This year’s event features performances by local talent and a special headline show by internationally renowned Garba artist Rutvi Pandya.
Food vendors will serve up a variety of traditional Indian dishes, giving visitors a chance to savour the flavours of Gujarat while enjoying the music and dance. Organizers encourage guests to wear traditional Garba attire to fully immerse themselves in the festive spirit.
Hosted in partnership with Humans for Harmony, the festival is designed to celebrate Brampton’s rich multiculturalism and bring the community together in a joyful, family-friendly environment.
