Brampton Centre Ontario Liberal Association Holds Successful 2026 Annual General Meeting at Century Gardens

The Ontario Liberal Party Brampton Centre riding association successfully hosted its 2026 Annual General Meeting on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Century Gardens Recreation Centre, bringing together members, volunteers, and community supporters for an afternoon focused on leadership, organization, and future growth.

Special appreciation was extended to Sukhwant Thethi and Pankaj Sandhu for their leadership and efforts in successfully organizing the important gathering, which reflected strong participation and enthusiasm from members across the riding.

The meeting followed a comprehensive agenda that included the President’s Report, Treasurer’s Report, election of the Executive Committee, and discussions on the path forward for the association. Members reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening democratic engagement, grassroots participation, and inclusive community leadership.

Congratulations were extended to newly acclaimed President Rukhsana Kousar, along with the newly elected executive team, on this significant milestone. Their appointments signal a renewed focus on collaboration, outreach, and community-driven progress in Brampton Centre.

The newly confirmed executive team includes Executive Vice President Sarfraz Hussain, Secretary Muhammad Malik, Treasurer Naima Malik, along with a diverse group of directors representing the riding.

Speaking after the meeting, Gian Paul said, “It was inspiring to witness such positive energy, unity, and commitment from members at the Annual General Meeting. The strong turnout and democratic spirit shown today reflect the growing momentum within Brampton Centre. I congratulate President Rukhsana Kousar and the entire executive team, and I look forward to working together for a stronger, more inclusive, and progressive community.”

Long-time Liberal member Safdar Hussain also shared his thoughts, saying, “The Annual General Meeting demonstrated the strength and resilience of our organization. It is encouraging to see experienced members and new faces coming together with a shared purpose. This unity and dedication will help us continue serving residents and building a brighter future for Brampton Centre.”

Organizers also recognized the invaluable contributions of members and volunteers whose dedication and continued support remain essential in advancing the vision of the association and building a stronger future for the community.
