The City of Brampton is proud to invite residents and visitors alike to Garden Square on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. to celebrate Pride 2025, presented by TD. This free public event will shine a spotlight on the diversity, resilience, and joy of Brampton’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community through an afternoon of live performances, interactive art, family-friendly activities, and community engagement.
Pride Month has long served as a time for reflection, resistance, and celebration. In Brampton, Pride 2025 is more than a one-day event — it is a powerful demonstration of the City’s ongoing commitment to equity, inclusion, and creating spaces where everyone feels seen, safe, and celebrated. The event will feature drag and musical performances, including headline acts The Virgo Queen and The Spice Queens, along with interactive entertainment hosted by Rebecca Perry and DJ Chissmiss Cherry.
Visitors will enjoy activities for all ages including storytime with Fay & Fluffy, face painting, character appearances from the Little Mermaid and a Rainbow Stilt Walker, a vendor marketplace spotlighting 2SLGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs, and community booths from local advocacy organizations like Rainbow Sauga Alliance, Wellfort Community Health Services, and Moyo Health & Community Services. Interactive installations, including a Vogue LED tunnel photo booth and shimmer wall, will offer unique photo opportunities and immersive engagement for attendees. Dine local with exclusive Pride-themed menus available at participating downtown Brampton restaurants.
In addition to the main event, the City of Brampton and community partners are hosting Pride-themed events throughout June. These include game nights and book clubs at Brampton Library, an open-mic storytelling celebration at the Peel Art Gallery Museum and Archives (PAMA), and a Pride Edition printmaking event at Brampton Arts Organization. A Pride-themed crosswalk will also be unveiled at Chinguacousy Park later this summer as a visible symbol of Brampton’s dedication to fostering safe, welcoming public spaces for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
“Pride in Brampton is about standing together as a city that values love, acceptance and equality for all,” said Patrick Brown, Mayor of Brampton. “We are proud to celebrate the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and remain committed to building a city where everyone feels safe, welcomed and supported.”
“Pride is more than a celebration. It is a statement that everyone deserves to live with dignity, authenticity and pride in who they are,” said Councillor Navjit Kaur Brar, Chair of Corporate Services Section, City Councillor for Wards 2 & 6. “I am proud that the City of Brampton continues to take meaningful steps forward in creating inclusive spaces and recognizing the rich diversity that strengthens our community.”
Pride 2025 is made possible with the generous support of TD, Algoma University, Dynacare, and Toronto Pearson. The event is open to all and fully accessible. For more details on Pride 2025 and a full calendar of events, please visit brampton.ca/pride.
