Brampton — Axium Packaging, one of North America’s fastest-growing packaging manufacturers, has officially opened a new $80-million facility in Brampton, marking a major milestone in the company’s Canadian expansion.
The 227,000-square-foot plant, located near Toronto Pearson International Airport and several key partners, is Axium’s third facility in Ontario and its 25th across North America. Founded in Mississauga in 2010 by CEO Pushminder Judge and President Paul Judge, the company has grown from just six desks and three machines into a continental leader in sustainable packaging.
“Canada is home for us, and Brampton is the ideal place to keep building on that vision while supporting our employees, their families, and the local economy,” said Pushminder Judge.
Paul Judge added that the new facility reflects the company’s long-term commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship. “By introducing cutting-edge technology and advancing sustainable operations, we’re proud to deliver best-in-class packaging solutions across North America,” he said.
Equipped with more than 45 advanced packaging lines, the Brampton plant will produce sustainable packaging for a wide range of industries, including food, pharmaceuticals, health care, and home products. The investment will also create 250 new jobs, reinforcing Brampton’s growing reputation as a hub for advanced manufacturing.
“As Canada’s fastest-growing big city and a centre for innovation and sustainability, Brampton is the ideal home for visionary companies like Axium,” said Mayor Patrick Brown, welcoming the expansion.
With its newest facility, Axium aims to strengthen its supply chain capabilities, cut delivery times, and reduce environmental impact — continuing its journey from a local startup to a North American powerhouse.
