Indian comedian and television personality Kapil Sharma has expanded his hospitality venture, Kap’s Café, to the Middle East with the opening of a new outlet in Dubai.
The café officially opened on Dec. 31, 2025, coinciding with New Year’s Eve celebrations in the emirate. The Dubai location marks the second international outpost of Kap’s Café, following the brand’s debut in Surrey earlier in 2025.
Sharma announced the launch through a short social media video showcasing the café’s exterior set against Dubai’s skyline, along with clips of him greeting visitors inside the venue.
According to details shared by the team, the Dubai café’s interiors draw inspiration from The Great Indian Kapil Show, Sharma’s Netflix comedy series. The space features soft pastel tones, muted greens and pinks, plush seating, and a relaxed layout designed to create a cosy, Instagram-friendly atmosphere. The understated design stands in contrast to the more lavish décor often associated with Dubai’s hospitality scene.
While the full menu for the Dubai outlet has not yet been released, guests can expect a mix of Indian and Western café-style offerings. Based on the Canadian location, the menu is likely to include South Asian snacks, pastas, coffee, teas, specialty beverages, and Sharma’s personal favourite—jaggery-infused lime juice.
The launch places Kap’s Café among a growing list of celebrity-backed food and beverage ventures entering Dubai’s competitive dining market, reflecting a broader trend of entertainment figures expanding into international hospitality.
Background on the Canada location
Kapil Sharma first entered the hospitality sector with the opening of Kap’s Café in Surrey, British Columbia, which was soft-launched in July 2025. The café, co-opened with his wife Ginni Chatrath, gained attention for its pastel-themed interiors and fusion-style menu.
However, the Canada outlet has also faced challenges, having been linked to multiple shooting incidents in 2025. Authorities said no staff or customers were injured. The café issued statements condemning the violence and confirmed it would continue operations.
Despite those setbacks, Sharma has moved ahead with expanding the brand internationally, positioning the Dubai opening as the concept’s first step into the Middle Eastern market.
