The Flower City Friends Club is proud to launch “Golden Hands – FCFC Knitting Hope Project,” a heartfelt initiative dedicated to knitting warm caps for cancer patients and senior citizens in need.
This project builds on FCFC’s strong tradition of service. In previous years, our handmade caps were donated to Trillium Health Partners and William Osler Health System, where they were warmly received and deeply appreciated. Encouraged by that response, we are once again coming together to serve with compassion.
The project will be coordinated by:
Jaswinder Daind, President – Project Coordinator
Kamal Babra, Director
Jatinder Paul, Accountant
Their leadership will guide planning, material coordination, knitting targets, and distribution to healthcare institutions and seniors in our community.
Chairperson Gian Paul shares:
“Golden Hands is not just about knitting caps; it is about knitting hope, dignity, and emotional support for those going through difficult times. The enthusiasm among our women members is truly inspiring.”
Director Kamal Babra adds:
“When we knit together, we create more than caps—we create comfort, warmth, and compassion for those who need it most.”
This initiative offers members an opportunity to serve, connect, and strengthen community bonds while making a real difference in the lives of patients and seniors.
