Investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau have identified two suspects involved in a gas station robbery in Brampton, resulting in the arrest of one individual and the issuance of a warrant for the second suspect.
The incident occurred on Friday, January 17, 2025, at a gas station near Hurontario Street and Bovaird Drive West. The suspects allegedly used an imitation firearm to threaten the victim and demand cash before fleeing with a quantity of money.
Fortunately, the victim was not physically injured during the robbery.
Thanks to a swift police response, Jagtar Singh, a 30-year-old Brampton resident, was arrested a short distance from the scene. He has been charged with the following offenses:
- Robbery
- Wearing a Disguise with Intent
- Using an Imitation Firearm
Jagtar Singh was held for a bail hearing and has since appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice.
Further investigation identified the second suspect as Taranjot Singh, a 30-year-old male of no fixed address. An arrest warrant has been issued for him on similar charges:
- Robbery
- Wearing a Disguise with Intent
- Using an Imitation Firearm
