The International Film Festival of South Asia (IFFSA) Toronto 2024, the largest South Asian film festival in North America, is set to take place from October 10 to 20, with events in Mississauga, Brampton, and other parts of the Greater Toronto Area.

The festival’s 13th edition will feature premieres, special events, and appearances by some of the biggest names in the industry, including Imtiaz Ali, Deepa Mehta, Boman Irani, and Anup Singh. The festival will also honor Indian cinema legend Shabana Azmi.

Boman Irani’s film The Mehta Boys, co-written by Oscar winner Alexander Dinelaris Jr., will have its Canadian premiere as the opening film. In addition to film screenings, IFFSA will offer masterclasses, including a workshop on acting with Anup Singh and the launch of the IFFSA Talent Fund 2024/25 for emerging filmmakers.
