A night of celebration, culture and community generosity delivered a major boost for local healthcare as the William Osler Health System Foundation raised $977,850 at its 13th annual Holi Gala.
Held before a crowd of more than 850 guests, the popular fundraising event once again brought together business leaders, philanthropists and community supporters in a vibrant show of support for hospitals serving one of Canada’s fastest-growing regions.
According to foundation officials, the funds raised will help advance innovation across the hospital system, supporting more modern, people-centred care and expanding access to leading-edge medical solutions for patients and families.
Frank Martino said the investment will help strengthen care delivery and ensure communities continue to benefit from improved healthcare services close to home.
The evening also featured a high-energy performance by Punjabi music sensation Amrit Maan, adding star power and entertainment to one of the region’s signature charitable events.
Returning as presenting sponsor was BVD Group, joined by additional sponsors including CIBC, Echelon Insurance and Homelife Miracle Realty Ltd. Brokerage.
The William Osler Health System serves more than 1.3 million residents across Brampton, Caledon, north Etobicoke and surrounding communities through Brampton Civic Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital and Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness.
As demand for healthcare continues to rise across the region, the success of the Holi Gala reflects the growing role community philanthropy plays in building stronger hospitals, faster access to care and better outcomes for future generations.
