Brampton and Mississauga Chosen for FIFA World Cup 2026 Celebration Tour

Soccer fans in Peel Region are getting a major World Cup moment next summer, as Brampton and Mississauga have been selected as official stops on FIFA’s nationwide “Canada Celebrates” tour ahead of and during the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The national tour will travel across the country with 38 stops in 34 communities, bringing the excitement of the world’s biggest sporting event closer to Canadians through public celebrations, live match screenings, music, food, football activities and cultural programming.

Peel Region Dates to Mark

Mississauga – July 1, 2026

Mississauga’s event will take place on Canada Day, combining national celebrations with World Cup energy in the city’s downtown core. The city says the event will attract visitors from across the country and spotlight Mississauga on a national stage.

Celebration Square is also expected to be a major fan hub, with dozens of tournament matches planned for public viewing.

Brampton – July 18 & 19, 2026

Brampton will host the final stop of the entire tour, coinciding with the bronze medal match and the World Cup final weekend.

That means Brampton will close out the national celebration just as the tournament reaches its biggest moments — giving the city a unique spotlight in front of soccer fans across Canada.
