Blue Jays’ World Series Run Smashes Proline

The Toronto Blue Jays’ dramatic journey to the World Series has sent Ontario’s sports-betting markets soaring, with Proline+ recording its highest-ever Major League Baseball sales in the platform’s three-decade history.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) reported that sales for Monday’s decisive Game 7 victory over the Seattle Mariners were five times higher than those of the 2025 regular-season opener. The Blue Jays clinched their first American League pennant since 1993 with a thrilling 4–3 win, capped by George Springer’s three-run homer in the seventh inning that electrified both the Rogers Centre crowd and bettors across the province.

Toronto, which began the season as a 61–1 underdog to win the World Series, has now shortened to 2.75–1 odds, while the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers sit at 1.45–1 ahead of Friday’s Game 1 at the Rogers Centre.

Proline+ data shows overwhelming public backing for the Jays throughout the ALCS. Roughly 78% of bettors predicted a Toronto win in Game 6, with 92% expecting a multi-run margin. Nearly nine out of ten wagers correctly picked the game to exceed 7.5 total runs. One bettor who wagered $300 on a Vladimir Guerrero Jr. home run netted $1,260.

Even riskier bets are paying off — one retail player who placed a $100 wager at 41–1 odds earlier this season stands to collect $4,100 if Toronto captures the championship.

Meanwhile, Blue Jays mania has extended beyond betting to the stands. GTA realtor Sam McDadi, a fixture behind home plate throughout the playoffs, says the atmosphere at the Rogers Centre is “unbelievable.” McDadi, who owns three premium seats with access to the TD Lounge, estimates World Series resale prices in his section could reach between $15,000 and $20,000 USD per ticket (roughly $21,000–$28,000 CAD) — “for one game, one seat.”

With demand surging, the Blue Jays’ postseason has not only revived the city’s championship dreams but also set new records across Ontario’s sports, entertainment, and betting sectors. Game 1 of the World Series begins Friday at 8 p.m. at the Rogers Centre, with fans hoping Toronto can bring home its first title in 32 years.
