Brampton Gets Spooky: Pumpkin Carving, Fright Nights and Ghoulish Fun All Month Long

Brampton is set to transform into a Halloween wonderland this October with a jam-packed calendar of spooky, family-friendly events designed to get everyone — from tiny trick-or-treaters to teens and adults — into the Halloween spirit.

From pumpkin patches and carving contests to haunted selfie stations, dance parties and marshmallow roasting, the city’s Halloween celebrations promise a frightfully festive time for all ages.

The popular Fright Nights are returning with four evenings of spooky fun spread across two community centres. Families can explore attractions like the Haunted Selfie Museum, enjoy magic shows and face painting, craft Halloween decorations, hit the dance floor, and warm up by fire pits while roasting marshmallows. The events take place on October 17 and 18 at the Cassie Campbell Community Centre, and again on October 24 and 25 at the Gore Meadows Community Centre.

To make things easier, a free shuttle service will run on October 24 and 25 from Castlebrooke Secondary School to Gore Meadows starting at 4:45 p.m., with departures every 15 to 20 minutes throughout the evening.

For teens and adults living with disabilities, the Inclusive Halloween Dance offers a chance to celebrate in style at the Paul Palleschi Recreation Centre on October 24. Guests can look forward to a catered dinner, a lively costume contest, spot dance prizes, and entertainment from a professional DJ. Advance registration is recommended due to limited space.

Creative spirits can head to the Susan Fennell Youth Hub on October 26 for a free Pumpkin Carving and Decorating Competition running from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged.

Families with young children can also enjoy Pumpkin Patch Play on October 25 and 26, designed for kids ages three to six, with a special day for children under 10. Children are invited to dress in their Halloween best and join a morning of crafts, games and festive fun. Each guardian may bring a maximum of two children, and registration is required.

With activities happening all month long, Brampton is offering countless ways for residents to make magical memories this Halloween.
