The World Health Organization (WHO) has once again dismissed claims that vaccines cause autism, stressing that scientific evidence overwhelmingly proves their safety. “We know that vaccines do not cause autism. Vaccines save countless lives, and this should not be questioned,” the agency said.
WHO also addressed speculation over paracetamol use being linked to autism, noting that current studies show no credible evidence of a connection. Officials emphasized that misinformation about vaccine safety continues to endanger public health by eroding trust in lifesaving immunization programs.
The statement comes as global health agencies continue to battle waves of vaccine hesitancy fueled by online conspiracy theories. WHO reiterated that maintaining high vaccination rates is essential to protecting children and communities from preventable diseases.
