Eight People Face 70 Charges After Guns and Cannabis Seized in Peel Region Traffic Stop

Peel Regional Police say eight people are facing a total of 70 charges after officers discovered multiple loaded firearms and cannabis during two linked vehicle stops in the early hours of September 13.

Police reported that around 3 a.m., officers conducting patrols stopped two vehicles suspected of being connected. In the first vehicle, officers allegedly spotted open alcohol in plain view, giving them grounds to search the car. A loaded handgun was reportedly found and seized.

The second vehicle was also searched, where cannabis was allegedly discovered near the front passenger, contrary to the Cannabis Control Act. Two more loaded handguns were located in the second vehicle, police said.

The eight individuals charged include:

  • Tiana Marie Carmond Desrochers, 23, of Timmins
  • Kevin Trudel, 35, of Timmins
  • David Che, 24, of Toronto
  • Sabrina Johnson, 30, of Timmins
  • James Jeffels, 31, of Fauquier
  • Matthew Digiandomenico-Williams, 23, of Toronto
  • Junior Walker, 24, of Toronto
  • Blessed Davies, 24, of no fixed address

All eight were held for bail hearings and appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice. Police have not disclosed the exact location of the stops or details about the vehicles involved.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact Peel Regional Police or provide an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
