Pakistan’s armed forces have killed four militants alleged to be linked to “Indian proxy network Fitna al-Hindustan” during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district, the military’s media wing confirmed on Thursday.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched on September 17 following credible intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the area. “Own forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and, after an intense exchange of fire, four Indian-sponsored terrorists were sent to hell,” the ISPR said.
Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the site. The ISPR stated that the slain militants were involved in multiple terrorist attacks in the region. A sanitisation operation is currently underway to ensure the area is completely cleared of any remaining threat.
“Security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country and reaffirm the nation’s unwavering resolve to bring the perpetrators of terrorism to justice,” the statement added.
This operation follows a series of counter-terror efforts in Balochistan this month. Earlier this week, security forces eliminated five other alleged Indian-sponsored terrorists in Khuzdar, and four more were killed during an IBO in Mastung on September 12.
