One man has been arrested and another remains at large after two luxury vehicles worth nearly $750,000 were stolen from an auto rental business in Brampton, Peel Regional Police said.
The incident occurred on November 4, 2023, when two suspects allegedly broke into a luxury auto rental facility and stole several sets of keys along with a 2022 GMC SUV and a 2022 Rolls Royce. Following a lengthy and complex investigation, police determined that both vehicles were exported to undisclosed foreign markets.
On April 1, 2025, police arrested 29-year-old Charmeet Matharu of Brampton. He has been charged with one count of break and enter with intent and two counts of theft of a motor vehicle. Matharu was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a second suspect, 26-year-old Nikhil Sidhu, also of Brampton, who faces the same charges. Police continue to search for Sidhu and are requesting the public’s assistance in locating him.
